Our History
SPRITES was created in 1968, a time of civil rights and feminist activism, by five visionary women with deep roots in the East County of San Diego. Their goal was to create an organization that would teach teen girls grades 7 through 12 the value of life-long commitment to community service.
SPRITES is a philanthropic organization of mothers and daughters dedicated to volunteering their time and resources to San Diego County charities.
